HISTORY OF INTERNET

Assalamualaikum to all readers!
Today I want to tell you about the history of internet. Do you know how Internet was invented?

In 1950, the history of internet develop with the development of electronic computers.
United States, United Kingdom, and France develop the initial concept of packet networking.
Professor Leonard Kleinrock's laboratory at University California, the first message was sent over the ARPANET from computer science.

ARPANET

The Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET) was an early packet switching network and the first network to implement the protocol suite TCP/IP.

The earliest ideas for a computer network intended to allow general communications among computer users were formulated by computer scientist J. C. R. Licklider of Bolt, Beranek and Newman (BBN).

# 1974-TCP specification by Vint Cerf
# 1984-January 1, Internet with its 1000 hosts converts en masse to use TCP/IP for its messaging

THE CREATION OF INTERNET

The creation of the Internet solved the following challenges:

 Basically inventing digital networking as we know it
 Survivability of an infrastructure to send / receive high-speed electronic messages
 Reliability of computer messaging

PROTOCOLS IN URL

Protocols Names:
 ftp:// : File transfer
http:// : Hypertext
https:// : Hypertext Secure
Mailto : Sending email
News : Requesting news
telnet:// : Remote login

Much of the power of browsers is that they are multiprotocol. That is, they can retrieve and render information from a variety of servers and sources.
