Gene Search

The gene search is used to search for gene of specific species. Then, the gene of that specific species can be compared with others gene's species by using Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST), which will explained later on in this blog.


First start with the basic, simply type F2 in the search box and you will get list of species's F2 coagulation factors.
In this case, I will pick F2 coagulation factor II, thrombin [Homo sapiens (human)]

Then scroll down and click on FASTA to view the gene sequence for the species.
Here is the example of the gene sequence which consist of four letters which is TCGA
